Integrity at Work

Integrity at Work is a public education initiative to promote an ethical culture.  City officials and employees are encouraged to live the values of an ethical culture:  Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Trust, and Transparency.

The City of Atlanta is fostering a strong ethical culture through the following media:

  • Leading discussions at every ethics workshop on what an ethical culture means
  • Providing short, humorous videos to raise awareness about conflicts of interest
  • Distributing six new awareness posters
  • Publishing three new publications for vendors, board members, and employees
  • Producing an e-learning course for all employees
  • Airing public service announcements about values

The mandatory e-learning course will use short video vignettes to focus on basic dilemmas affecting city employees in connection with gifts, outside employment, solicitations, use of city property, and financial conflicts of interest.  The Ethics Office is working with the Departments of Watershed Management and Information Technology to produce the course, and it is expected to launch in Fall 2015.
